Ocean Plastic International Matchmaking (OPIM) is an annual online event bringing together stakeholders from across the ocean plastic value chain to share knowledge, explore innovative solutions, and build new partnerships.
This year’s theme: The Business of Ocean Plastic Removal
Across the world, public actors are starting to move from small pilot projects to actually shaping how ocean plastic removal works in practice. Through procurement, regulation, and new funding approaches, they play a key role in answering the big question: Who pays?
This theme looks at real examples from different countries where public entities are turning cleanup efforts into something more structured and scalable. The focus is on what’s actually being done, what it costs, and what it takes to make it work in the long run.
Share your solution, get expert feedback, and join the movement for cleaner seas. Each selected participant will pitch their project live to an expert panel and international audience — receiving actionable feedback, raising visibility, and connecting with potential partners and investors.
Apply for pitching by 6 November 2026
